Pela primeira vez na história de Franca, um instrumentista da cidade está concorrendo ao Grammy Awards: Diego Figueiredo, já premiado em tantos países e festivais — como o de Montreaux, na Suiça — concorre ao prêmio de melhor arranjo, instrumentos e vocais.
Ele e Cyrille Aimeé disputam o prêmio com a música Marry Me a Little.
Diego Figueiredo disse ao Jornal da Franca que, independentemente de ser premiado ou não, o simples fato de estar indicado para o prêmio já é um acontecimento histórico: “Quantos artistas não gostariam de estar na lista?”, disse.
Mesmo porque, Diego Figueiredo e Cyrille Aimeé estarão no mesmo salão em que marcarão presença artistas como Beioncé, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Taylor Swift. Billy Ray Cyrus.
